Welcome!
The Rock Films was formed by film director Alexey Uchitel in 1991. It was called so after the documentary shot by Uchitel in the Perestroika period in Russia. Now the studio is producing films, both feature and documentary. One of the most high-priority work directions is the studio’s debut-line. It let a number of young and talented directors create their first films. During the last 17 years our films have received more then 40 awards at different international film festivals. |

The foreign-language film is directed by Alexey Uchitel and written by Alexander Gonorovsky.
Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired all U.S. rights to The Edge, Russia’s submission for the foreign-language film Oscar.
The feature, set in a Siberian gulag after the end of Word War II, also is nominated for a Golden Globe as best foreign-language film.

We are all human and we all have something to worry about. What worries us is always individual, different in importance, scale and meaning. Some problems occupy our minds only for a couple of minutes, others take up all of our time, absorbing all our thoughts and wishes, sometimes it is hard to think of something else, practically impossible, till you find somebody to talk to... It all reflects who we really are and what’s important for us.
